Vegetables and herbs: that's the basis. But these are also the specialties of the two chefs Simeon Nikolov and Vitus Winkler. Both live and create with what the Alps give them. One in Switzerland, the other in Austria. This is the first time that the two chefs, who have both won numerous awards, have come together at Food Zurich to unite their culinary styles.
At the exclusive FOOD ZURICH dinner, you can look over the shoulders of both chefs. In a convivial setting, they will tell you about their interpretations of Alpine cuisine, which is important to them.
The Caminada restaurant Oz offers vegetables a big stage. What catches the eye of chef Simeon Nikolov on his forays through the garden is already on the plate a few hours later - presented with a lot of imagination and love.
At Vitus Winkler's place of work, his gourmet boutique hotel Sonnhof and the Kräuterreich restaurant, the top chef brings edible works of art to the plate that fascinate, surprise and enchant. In his gourmet restaurant, he literally moves mountains in the world of taste and creates a new Austrian identity with his creations.
Simeon Nikolov and Vitus Winkler bring their alpine homeland to the culinary stage in a way that is as surprising as it is natural. Well-known and rare herbs from the Alps, permacultivated vegetables and ingenuity take guests on a culinary journey to the mountains during their surprise menu.
