In 1699, Anna Margaretha Gessner-Kitt - the Kittin - wrote down 470 recipes. The manuscript is in the Zurich Central Library. The cook Susanne Vögeli and three historians have brought this baroque treasure back to life, transcribed the manuscript and recreated 42 recipes. In the book and on this evening, you will learn interesting facts about life in Zurich in the Baroque period.
Susanne Vögeli cooks some of the extraordinary dishes from the Kittin's cookbook and, together with the historians, presents exciting and curious facts about cooking culture and life in Zurich more than 300 years ago.
