FOOD ZURICH: The Culinary Future and Eleven Days of Enjoying Food
Experience the culinary side of urban farming first hand, stop by a local chickpea field, ferment vegetables hands-on, reinterpret Swiss cuisine, collect urban herbs or get to the bottom of plant-based dishes. Listen to inspiring talks, stroll around the Slow Food Market, cook with rescued food or exchange ideas live and in person with culinary experts who are rethinking the way we eat… FOOD ZURICH is all of the above – and so much more. Once a year, the festival takes place over the course of eleven days throughout the greater Zurich area with more than 100 events all about culinary art.
That makes FOOD ZURICH one of the three biggest food festivals in Europe. Which also makes sense. With 2900 restaurants, the city of Zurich has one of the highest densities worldwide to show for, offering everything a connoisseur heart could ever want to eat, drink, taste… all within walking distance. And thanks to institutions such as ETH and ZHAW, combined with an open mind for all things international, the city on the Limmat also provides pioneers and startups with fertile ground for innovation and research.
Who knows what our culinary future will bring? What we can do now is offer culinary visionaries, restaurateurs, startups and pioneers a platform: Eleven days to present their trendsetting ideas. So let’s get together. Let’s co-create the sustainable future of food we envision – and let’s have fun doing it.

FOOD ZURICH has always been a crowd-pleaser: with a selection of the best slow food, fine food and street food. The food festival gives all producers, chefs and culinary creatives fascinated with food a stage on eleven days – and gives visitors from all corners of the globe a culinary experience like never before.
The 9th edition will take place from 6 – 16 June, 2024.
