Imagine what the painters of the past would say, seeing their masterpieces come to life as delicious recipes savored by future generations...

Masterpieces from Zurich museums step out of their frames and become dishes to be savored at our table. Salottino and its Chef Angelina Valentim collaborate with MatchArt’ art historians to craft a three-course vegetarian menu inspired by depicted ingredients. Using only local, seasonal products that have been eaten in the territory for centuries, the chef draws from Switzerland's rich culinary heritage, blending wild forest herbs, berries, fruits, spices, edible flowers, vegetables, flours, and cheeses to create each dish—a fusion of new tastes and ancient aromas. Lost flavors will be rediscovered, and unfamiliar combinations will evoke the taste of our culinary heritage. «Art in Your Plate» goes beyond fine dining; it's a journey into visual and culinary arts, intertwined by a deep and timeless bond. Painted food and culinary creations converge, stimulating us to reflect on the origins of ingredients we eat every day and revealing hidden and exciting stories in scenes created by artists. The event, lasting three hours, will alternate live preparation and eating of the three dishes (appetizer, main course, and dessert) with unexpected stories of the ingredients and scenes depicted in the works of art that inspired each dish. We will enjoy discovering what our ancestors produced and harvested, how they cooked these ingredients, picking up culinary curiosities and secrets from ancient Swiss recipe books.

Additionally, guests who wish to participate can assist the chef in the preparation of the dishes.
